Haven was Emery Custom Builds’ original family-focused camper, designed to make time on the road feel unhurried, comfortable, and grounded. Built to transport and sleep up to four, this van balances off-grid capability with the kind of warmth and flexibility that makes traveling together easy.

The Build

The electrical system delivers multi-day autonomy: 600Ah lithium battery bank, 400W roof-mounted solar array, 3000W inverter, 30A shore power connection, and 30A DC-DC alternator charging for power on the move.

The plumbing system includes a 40-gallon freshwater tank, 30-gallon undermount greywater tank, Bosch 4-gallon water heater, interior kitchen sink, and hot outdoor shower — ideal for rinsing off after long days outside.

The kitchen features a two-burner Empava induction cooktop, Bodega 83L refrigerator, and a Lagun table for dining, work, or lounging. Storage is thoughtfully integrated throughout.

The living space centers on a fixed queen-size bed with a removable two-person rear bench seat. Swivel driver and passenger seats open up the front cabin into the living area. Dual MaxxAir Deluxe fans with remote control and thermostat handle climate control, backed by a fully insulated interior for four-season usability.

Why Transit

The client chose the Transit for two reasons: Ford’s service network and the factory AWD option. Being able to pull into any Ford dealer in any town in America for maintenance or a repair was a big deal for someone planning to travel long distances. And the AWD capability meant they didn’t need to worry about getting to trailheads or ski resort parking lots in winter.
